Financial Literacy

The program provides financial literacy classes and equips refugees with financial education to help them be financially responsible and achieving financial self-sufficiency. Training content includes but is not limited to:

• Bank and bank services
• Checking and saving accounts
• Credit card services
• Credit score and credit history
• Retirement plans
• Taxes and Tax returns

Micro Enterprise Development (MED)

• Business loans for start up, stabilization, and growth
• Pre and post loan technical assistance
• Business plans, start up, and business management training

Individual Development Account (IDA)

This is an asset building program implemented through a matching fund. It is designed to familiarize refugees with the U.S. financial system and asset ownership that include:

• Home ownership
• Small business establishment
• Short term vocational training or recertification
