Integration Services

Integration Strategies: Responding to today's demographic changes Spring Institute works to help create and strengthen efforts that promote the integration of newcomers into their communities. The adaptation process immigrants and refugees experience when relocating to a new country is ideally a two-way street in which both newcomers and longer-term residents learn and work together. Integration Strategies works to improve services, promote policy, facilitate communications and conduct research to promote integration throughout Colorado, the region, and across the country.

ELT/TA: The Spring Institute  has been designated by the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and the Colorado Refugee Services Program (CRSP) to provide technical assistance for English Language Training programs serving refugees.

Supporting Immigrant and Refugee Families Initiative: Immigrant Integration (SIRFI): The new immigrant integration phase of the Colorado Trust's ten-year initiative provides funding to nineteen Colorado coalitions working to build strong, healthy communities where there is an enhanced sense of belonging and community participation. The initiative is a community-based approach dedicated to a "two-way street" process that encourages established and newcomer populations to work together to respond to changing demographics.

Cultural Orientation for Refugees:  This program is designed to help newly arrived refugees adjust to life in the United States.

Spring Entrepreneurial Development Services: This program equips refugees with financial education to help them be financially responsible and achieving financial self-sufficiency.  The program also provides refugees with technical assistance for business loans and asset building education, which includes familiarization with home ownership, small business establishment and vocational training.
