Good communication is the key to running a smooth operation. Communication always presents challenges, but communicating with overseas counterparts, customers, or coworkers from other cultures and those with limited English proficiency can be even more challenging.
Spring Institute for Intercultural Learning has been helping companies turn cultural differences into assets for 25 years. Our intercultural communication training courses help organizations overcome cross cultural communication barriers when working with or serving people from other cultures.
Developing intercultural skills can:
-
reduce miscommunications
-
bring new perspectives to problem-solving
-
provide new ideas to teams and individuals
-
increase harmony in the workplace
-
diminish the adjustment time of new employees, their coworkers, and managers
-
enhance responsiveness to customer needs in the global marketplace
-
enhance productivity and profitability
Methodology:
All of Spring Institute's trainings are participant-based and highly interactive. The goals are met through simulations, discussions, question and answer sessions, role-plays, case studies, video, as well as didactic presentations. There are ample opportunities for participants to share their own experiences and to learn from one another. Our workshop design is created with a specific agenda, but one that allows maximum flexibility to meet the needs and issues that arise during the session.
Spring Institute customizes all of its training programs to meet the specific needs of each client. Depending on needs, time available, and organizational preferences, a variety of training models can be utilized. The design and duration are flexible and are planned with an appropriate person from the client organization.
