2017-18 English Language Acquisition (ELA) Classes
The English Language Acquisition (ELA) program provides English language skills development to adults whose first language is a language other than English. Interested individuals start by attending an intake session which includes orientation, registration and assessment. Those who can commit to completing a minimum of 40 hours of instruction are placed in a class facilitated by a qualified adult educator. Courses are taught in 12 – 20 week sessions that meet 4-6 hours per week. Instruction includes skills development in reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as digital literacy, career exploration and job seeking skills. Those with advanced English language skills (above level 6), can participate in the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program.
For more information about these services, call (303) 835-1128 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If your organization would like to host an ELA class, contact Program Manager, Tiffany Pippin, at 303-863-0188 x304 or email her at email@example.com.
