The Hospitality Workstyles program funded by the Denver Office of Economic Development with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I funds began in July 2016. The classes are offered free of charge and are open to community members who are work authorized City of Denver residents and TANF eligible.
The classes are 12 weeks long, and participants are given an opportunity to study a wide range of hospitality topics such as customer service and effective interpersonal communication.
Testimonial from participant in Community Hospitality Workstyles Classes:
“The hospitality class has helped me a lot. Before I came to America, I studied English in school, but the classes focused on the grammar, not practical English. We didn’t have the practice at all and I couldn’t understand people when I came here. It was really hard in the beginning. Spring Institute has helped me with this. I had to learn to communicate without overthinking.”
